As the kids would say, it's been a minute. Just stumbled across this old dusty thing called a Blog and enjoyed reminiscing over all those memories. I know Blogs are outdated and in 2022 can just be plain corny to look back on but I am glad I wrote it. The extra details fill in so many gaps that get lost with just a simple photo and one or two lines of texts.
And now 12 years later, it feels like a lifetime has passed.
Since that last post:
My wife and I have passed the 20+ year mark of marriage and I love her even more today.
My wife more than successfully navigated getting our kids through the homeschool years and my son is now in his Senior year.
I have been with the same company and enjoy my job.
My two daughters have moved out and are full grown adults! haha.
One daughter took the gutsy leap into the corporate world and for those who know her, it's a feat that should be admired for the attempt alone. Gutsy doesn't begin to describe it.
One daughter is married and welcomed our 1st grandchild just last month. And I have a son-in-law who I admire and love and have enjoyed what he has brought to our lives.
My son is a young man in every sense of the word and just got his first car last week.
My brother and sister-in-law moved to Tennessee and I miss them like crazy.
And too many other things that deserve more than just a one line description. Heck all the above deserve a blog all their own.
In the turmoil of the day to day, writing this blog seems to clear the muck and show me that I have too much to be thankful for. Sounds like the beginnings of the recommendation from Pastor Jobe to make a thankful list.
I just realized one good thing about blogging is I don't have to worry about anyone reading it! hahah
